For the first competitive game at the new Wembley Stadium, Kidderminster Harriers played Stevenage Borough in the FA Trophy Final. For those of you that don't know the final score was Kidderminster 2 Stevenage 3.

Dennis Bergkamp's final game of a glittering career, against his former club Ajax. Also the first game at Arsenal's new home, Ashburton Grove (aka Emirates Stadium). The first half was the current Arsenal team (made up mainly of reserve and youth team players) versus the Ajax first team, which Ajax won 1-0. The second half was Arsenal legends versus Ajax legends, which Arsenal won 2-0. The Arsenal legends included David Seaman, Lee Dixon, Partrick Vieira, Marc Overmars, Ian Wright, Thierry Henry and of course Dennis himself. For Ajax there was Marco Van Basten, Johan Cruyff and the De Boer brothers amongst others.

The last league game to be held at Kidderminster's ground, Aggborough Stadium, not just for this season but for the foreseeable future. The Harriers' defeat, 4-1, at the hands of Grimsby Town, rubber-stamped the Worcestershire club's relegation to the Conference. The dalliance with the Football League was over and the return of the club to the realms of semi-professional football awaited.
